Last time the EUR/USD reached this level in mid-December when the pound soared to $1.35 due to the Conservatives’ victory in the UK general election; Christine Lagarde said she would like to be a wise owl, rather than a dove, like Mario Draghi; and the White House didn’t introduce new tariffs on $160 billion of Chinese imports.
